So while in Chicago, the car got a slight repair from the shop. No more knocking sound from the back - am not really sure what the problem was but didnt bother asking...So was riding the next day back from Stamford..and guess what..i think i was subject to a racist cop issuing me a mandatory court apperance...had to pay 215$'!!..so much for my halogens...
Also received my laptop, was delighted to get it...HP 9530DVT..ok...the freaking cut and paste does not work on my pC! Anyways..its great...completely juiced out...
Am going to the Halloween parade today in NYC with the guys..while the lilguy is dressed up as a lildevil and trick or treating with his cousins..
will jot down more stuff..

Chicago seemed nice
So was in the Windy city for a couple of days closing up some loose ends on business. Somehow felt that the city had a nice vibe to it but definitely felt that NY was better..now that is definitely a biased opinion! Met with DJ after close to 4 years..stays right in downtown..pretty amazing how cheap the prizes are...350K for a 2 b/r apt blocks away from the Sears tower!
The lilguy was so cute when I picked him up after I got back home..was speechless for quite sometime..was clinging on me when i picked him up..and then he lighted up even more after he saw the plane i brought for him! Speaking of plans, i flew back to WCH from ORD..the plane had only 3 seats/ row..luckily i was at the seat that was a single!
Got my car back from the first time in the shop..there was a thumping noise which was attributed to something not properly bolted down on the right rear side. Hopefully dont hear any more of those!

Yawn!!
So whats new..you may ask..
Well..for one..its been 9 Months & 20 Days since I last penned down something on this blog!!..a lots happened..a couple of highlights
Feb 2007
- Visited the sister in Seattle..an eventful trip the highlight being we were one of the "lucky few" that was stuck in the Valentine Day Ice storm on Jetblue; stuck for 8 hours on the tarmac..luckily the lilguy slept through the ordeal..JetBlue did refund our money and provide us with tickets. MIL had a cancelled flight and could go only after a couple of days!!
- Also got all the windows except for the ones in the Living & Dining room done..looks and feels much better!
- The Las Vegas trip didnt work out...hence my trip to Seattle! The freaking no gooders..dont even know if thats a word..couldnt decide on getting to LV..

- Nothing much..other than the fact that D turned 30
- The lilguy started doing the armycrawl
- Got the bonus..nice amount of money..but all went in repaying the inlaws and the credit card bills!

- We'd been hunting for daycare centers now that the lilguy is nearing 9 months..have narrowed it down to one very close to our house.
- The lilguy graduated from the army crawl to a full crawl..we call him the express train as he zips past on his knees on the hardwood floors (ouch!!)
May 2007
- The day came too fast..D dropped the baby of at daycare for his first day on May 1st. It was heart wrenching to see the baby cry when we left him at daycare..for the first few days he didnt eat or drink anything from the place..but as soon as he got home..hes already king of the jungle..all that talk about him sleeping in the crib..now has taken a back seat as both D & I would like to have the baby close to us atleast during the time he's at home!!
- On happier notes also met up with the guys for the much talked about rafting trip..was a blast i'd have to say!!
June 2007
- The lilguy started walking without much problem..ocassionally falling down..it was a big hit for us..in the fact that time passes by so fast!!..
- Other than that the dad-in-law came back from CA to be with us for sometime before again going back
July 2007
- Had the lilguys first big bday..actually invited a couple of friends..set up some games in the backyard..had fun actually!! The lilguy was dressed like little Sree Krishna!
- Had an incident at work..the old creaky steampipes running under the roads of Manhattan right next to our bldg burst..sending NY into a mode of panic..although the scene pretty much settled down within a day or two..our Co was out of the building for a good full week..was good learning experience..and created an impression!
- and right..MY beloved CAMRY died on me after i tried fixing up the AC which put too much pressure on the radiator..which inturn because of the dealers negligance led to the a leaky clutch assembly..obviously the guys didnt fess upto it!!
Aug 2007
- Took the dreaded trip to Houston..got stuck in a tropical depression right as it passed over the airport!
- Did a 15 people trip to Lake George..the lilguy loved the SixFlags trip..but all in all..i felt that the trip could do without the extra booze and a little more structure..buy hey..baby steps first!! - D went to Dallas..and her Co got all naughty up there..it was funny having her tell me everything..but thats why shes my BFF!!..lol..cant imagine i'll remember this acronym in a couple of years!

The biggest news is that after waiting for a good month & half...i finally got my new ride..a SCION XB..bcos the car had so many mods..they shipped it from JPN with a few of the accessories already set up..but then it got delayed at port..somewhere in Newark since Aug 6th!!..the clutch/differenetial/ the wheels and the muffler make the car so much more fun to ride!
- In the meanwhile..i drove a PT Cruiser, Jeep Liberty and the Prius!!..I was really suprised by the Prius..always took the hype about hybrids to be "too good to be true" but after driving in it for 2 weeks..and averaging 50MPG..i am kinda on the fence on what drivetrain the next set of wheels will use!!
- Actually been sick since the big party in July..with all the drinking and constant partying..i think i actually had a asthma attack..but its all getting better now..even the little one had to go on two courses of antibiotics in the past 2 months..

- My HP desktop is nearing its last few months i'd have to say...between the new IE browser and my browsing habits :)..the PC seems like its gasping for breath!!!..so will hopefully get a new HP dv9500t within the next few days..saved $300 by going through a friend!
- The friggin microwave gave up..and had to go and get a new one..so at Sears..i look at the one with the stainless stell front and decide on the set! I purchase the darn thing..bring it home..pull it out of the box..and lo & behold..only the front is stainless steel..the remaining is black!!!..anyways..had to rearrange the kitchen
